We’re back with our monthly Thrifty Style Team challenge! Once a month a group of our blogging friends get together to makeover, repurpose or transform something from our homes or thrift stores. Today I am showing you how I decorated my fall living room with thrifted decor.

The only decor I purchased this year for my living room are the pumpkins I got from the dollar store for a DIY craft. If you missed that post from earlier this week, you can see it here. All of my other fall decor came from my stash from years past, which mostly are thrifted finds…and maybe a couple of Homegoods purchases too.

Some of my favorites!

The amber bottles were purchased at a few different thrift stores as I used them in my wedding decor nearly 7 years ago. Since then I tend to use them in my fall decor and they always fit perfectly. It also holds so much sentimental value. You can see some ideas for decorating with amber glass here.

I gave some tips a few weeks ago on how to style bookshelves. Using those best practices here, I took everything off of my shelves. Then I had all of my fall decor laid out in one space so I could see everything together. I reused a few things that had been in place over the summer, but everything else was swapped out.

I also like to mirror the fall decor on the bpookshelves so they are symmetrical in design elements. The vintage balusters were a great find from a thrift store and I love the wear on them. The books were from Goodwill and help add some height to the shelves. Then there are other little thrifted finds thrown in here and there.

All of the budget friendly finds throughout the years really came together to create one cohesive fall living room. I love not having to really spend any money to totally change my decor for the season. We’re all about that thrifted style.
