The day has finally arrived to show you our Guest Bathroom Makeover Reveal!

Today is the day! We are soooo excited to show you our guest bathroom makeover reveal! This is by far one of our most favorite projects we have ever done. It is also one of the biggest transformations. As we’ve mentioned before, we decided extremely last minute to participate in the One Room Challenge. And boy are we glad we did! It forced us to transform the bathroom, which is something we wanted to do since day one of moving in.

As always, we extend a special thanks to our gracious hosts, Linda at Calling It Home , One Room Challenge and sponsor Better Homes and Gardens

Now for the guest bathroom makeover reveal! As a reminder, here is what we were working with. It wasn’t awful, but the tile was definitely dated. Also, it was not our style at all. Since this was once an attic, it has a quirky layout, which we thinks adds to its charm and character. The space just needed a little TLC.

Now the guest bathroom is light, bright and airy. We seriously can’t get over what a transformation this is with just a little bit of tile and paint!

The tile we chose for the the tub surround has a marble effect we love. Of course we had to incorporate honeycomb tile somewhere in the design. You can find similar tile here

This is a painting one of my best friend’s created years ago for me and it has always held a special place in my heart. The colors work perfectly in the space.

The tub fixture was one of the major hiccups we ran into during the renovation process. The initial fixture we got did not work in the space, which we didn’t realize until about 48 hours before the plumber was supposed to arrive. Our biggest must-have was having a hand held shower feature since, because of the space, we are unable to have a shower. We got this fixture from Wayfair and it is perfect! Plus, we were so happy to find a solution at zero hour that worked.

We got these hooks from Pottery Barn, which fit the space perfectly.

The other side of the room, which had the awesome vanity, also needed some assistance. The vanity had great bones, but the color was too orange and the vanity top was beige and not our style. We used Benjamin Moore Dark Teal for the vanity and we are in love! One of our favorite pieces in the room. The color just pops, especially with all of the antique bronze features. And that oval mirror was a find from Target that fits in the add spot perfectly.

Also, this runner is by Opalhouse at Target and we are obsessed! Like seriously want to add more of these in our house.

I had never installed a light fixture before (crazy, I know!) The initial one that we got at a thrift store, which was maybe a mistake. But, we were trying to save a buck. After hours of trying to install the old one, we caved and bought this one from Wayfair. This light fixture honestly fits the space so much better!

Overall we are just thrilled with how the guest bathroom makeover turned out! It’s now a space we are happy to go into. And, we know our guests will be happy with it too. They have a nicer bathroom than we do now! Might be time for another bathroom makeover.

Thank you so much for following along on our journey! We hope we have inspired some of you and we were excited for you to join us for the ride. It’s always a mad dash, but I can say that this was the easiest One Room Challenge we have done. And when I say easiest there weren’t any meltdowns haha! It was still hard work, but it definitely paid off. Sadie approves of our guest bathroom makeover reveal too!
