Y’all, we tend to get easily excited about most things, but we are seriously so excited to show you this dresser transformation!Ā You know when you’re spinning your wheels trying to figure out what you’re going to do and the idea just hits you?Ā That is exactly what happened in this case. We are part of a group called the Fab Furniture Flippin Contest and lucky for us, this month the sponsor is D. Lawless Hardware, who makes beautiful pieces.Ā  We got these milk glass drawer pulls that we absolutely love!Ā  Aren’t they gorgeous? Trash to Treasure Dresser Transformation with chalk paint, duct tape, and D. Lawless Milk Glass knobs We also knew that we wanted to paint this dresser…the icing on the cake was that this was a free curbside find!Ā  The dresser had been black and missing knobs and we had painted some wooden knobs for a temporary solution, which turned out to be a solution we had for about 2 years. Needless to say, it was in need of a makeover. Trash to Treasure Dresser Transformation with chalk paint, duct tape, and D. Lawless Milk Glass knobs We were trying to figure out what we were going to do to this dresser to really transform it.Ā As we were looking at the dresser, something caught our eye that had been forgotten about, just waiting to be used one day.Ā  On one of our many trips to the dollar store, we found this duct tape months ago that we thought was cute and that we could use it somehow, someway in the future. Well that day turned out to be today. Now we didn’t know if our idea would work, but we were excited to try. Trash to Treasure Dresser Transformation with chalk paint, duct tape, and D. Lawless Milk Glass knobs We painted the dresser with old white chalk paint, which was already such a huge improvement, and then we got to work on the really fun part.Ā We embellished the dresser by usingĀ three strips of duct tape per drawerĀ and we absolutely love howĀ it turned out! 10. Love everything about this makeover! I am such a fan of “saving” furniture from the curb and turning it into something beautiful and useful. I would have never thought of using table to transform the drawers but it looks amazing. Thank you for sharing this with us on Welcome Home Wednesdays! We hope to see you again next week.

  11. Ladies,
You dazzle me with your talent. You have created a sweet cheerful dresser from a frumpy black beast. Congrats!
    Happy Creating,

  12. Ok, I had no clue that was duct tape until I read it! Who knew duct tape could look that good!? Seriously creative and I love the blue and white color combo.

  13. My Mom was the queen of contact paper. So years ago (30+) I painted old dressers from my “growing up”bedroom, and then used contact paper on the drawers. They looked like new…and thenfit with my other furniture! If you find a pattern you like, try it!
