Fall is almost here and we are so excited! In anticipation,we have begun changing some decor in the house. We are sharing our indigo blue fall mantel decor.
You know that Fall is our favorite season. We don’t know about you, but we are more than ready for cooler temps and pumpkin spice everything! Today kicks off the Fall Ideas Tour with 25 fabulous blog designers. Each day this week showcases a different decorating topic. We are excited to be included with today’s group sharing fall mantel ideas. Here is our indigo blue fall mantel decor.
We’ve got the blues!
And it’s harvest time! The galvanized harvest sign was the jumping off decor statement for the mantel.
This year we completely moved away from traditional fall colors.
Our color palette at home is shades of blue, so why not decorate for Fall with the same tones?
We love our boat art canvas painting and it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Can you believe that we found it on clearance at HomeGoods?
After digging through our fall decor stash, it was exciting to discover how well these brown organic pumpkins looked on the mantel.
Did you see our post for these indigo painted book page pumpkins? Not to brag – but c’mon! Don’t they look beautiful? 🙂 This paint effect was created with watercolor.
They were so easy and inexpensive to make too!
This over-sized pinecone is from the yard and looks wonderful on top of our vintage blue books. Denim pumpkins were purchased on clearance from Hobby Lobby last year.
Our oversized basket was borrowed from the sunroom and placed in front of the hearth. It looks great filled with cozy throws, a wicker pumpkin and a DIY wood bead garland.
How cute is this blue wooden bucket? It’s filled with sticks and pinecones from the yard. Free decor and it’s organic 🙂
When we decorate for the seasons, we like it to be as effortless as possible. Other than the indigo painted book page pumpkins, all of the other decor were things we already had on hand. As you can see a lot of the items used for our mantel were actually found outside in nature – sticks, limbs and pinecones. It doesn’t get any easier than that.
Don’t forget to Pint this to your favorite Pinterest Board!
