My home office space has been in need of a little revitalization lately. Ā If I’m being totally honest, this space had become an extension of my laundry closet, which is in the same room. Ā There would typically be a laundry basket or two in the room, along with clothes strewn on the chair. Ā It definitely wasn’t working for me or my creative juices. Ā My little study was soon becoming a room I was avoiding instead of a room to create and generate ideas.

I came across a company recently called WeWork, who has some awesome office spaces that offer some awesome inspiration. Ā If you aren’t familiar with WeWork, they are a co-working company with shared office spaces all over the world. Ā Looking at their spaces inspired me to make my work area more special.

I started to look at my little home office and think about what would make me happy. Ā I am thrilled with how the space turned out! Ā It has a great mix of vintage elements, which I love, as well as some fun prints, and meaningful mementos. Ā It has become an amazing space to work in.

A lot of the larger elements I already had on hand. Mom painted this desk for me a while ago and I just love it…it is so us I think. I also already had the Capri print that I got for a great deal at Tuesday Morning. Ā I have also had this rug for several years that I got for a steal at the Pottery Barn Outlet…it’s my favorite in the house!

I already had the cork board, but instead of hanging it up on the wall, I decided to lean it on the desk. I used some vintage postcards from our wedding that are meaningful to us. Ā I also love the quote “The Best Things in Life Are Not Things”…it is such a great daily reminder. And when mom and I saw this “Bloggers Gonna Blog” print we had to get it! Ā It’s from a great store called The Beehive, which focuses on local artists…such a cool store. Ā I also could not pass up the adorable gold sparkles clothes pins that I glued onto the cork board!

I think my favorite part of the room is in my new globe! I have been wanting one for a while and on a recent trip to Desperate Housewares in Atlanta (again a store you need to check out) I feel in love with this one. Ā The colors are so vibrant and it has such great character…

I don’t know about you, but we subscribe to quite a few home decor magazines…I thought this would be a nice way to display them šŸ™‚

It’s nice to refresh an area in your home…for me it really breathes new life into the space and makes me more focused, calm, and creative. Ā If I could add anything else to my home office I would have to say I wish I had space in here to actually make it a craft room/office with lots of DIY supplies. Ā A girl can dream šŸ™‚

  5. hi Jen and Vicki. I was admiring your beautiful office while my husband drove and started typing a big long comment on my Ipad and then it died, so I’m back to say it’s so beautiful and I love the newly painted desk, the bicycle print and the bloggers quote, and lastly the blingy gold clothespins too. LOVE it. xo Lisa
