My mom did her fall tablescape last month using turquoise and coppers, but I opt for a more simple and rustic look.  We have a smaller home and therefore a smaller dining room table.  I don’t like to put too much on it to avoid feeling cluttered.

I found these great turkey plates by Johnson Bros. at Replacements during their annual sale.  If you are unfamiliar with Replacements, it’s a store in Greensboro, NC that has thousands of pieces of dinnerware.  If you chip a piece of your china that is no longer produced or a piece goes missing, they will have it.  They were definitely a great purchase!

These napkins are Cynthia Rowley and were found at one of our faves, TJ Maxx,  I also tied a piece of twine to give it a more natural feel.

For a place card I thought it would be cute to use corks.  I just cut down one side to make it flat.  Then I used the knife to make a slit in the top to hold the card stock.  You just have to be sure to really work the area a few times with the knife.

I also used faux leaves to add a little pop of color.

This candle holder is typically a staple on my dining room table. I got it in Napa Valley at St. Helena Olive Oil Co. years ago and I just love the worn wood, as well as the fact that it’s made out of a wine barrel.

Do you know how you’re decorating your table for this Thanksgiving?
