Ease into the new season with a pretty fall sunflower centerpiece.

Can you believe that it is September already? Time is definitely flying by for me! Last week my friend Terri and I spent the day shopping. As I have previously mentioned, I live in the country. The closest stores are an hour and a half from my house. When a shopping opportunity presents itself, I jump at the chance and make the most of the day. Naturally, one of our favorite places to shop is HomeGoods. I spotted the most gorgeous bouquet and knew that I needed to create a fall sunflower centerpiece.

Aren’t these beautiful? A couple of years ago I made another easy sunflower centerpiece using bright yellow flowers.

These look so real and authentic. Marked for just $8.99, I couldn’t pass them up. I am by no means a professional floral arranger – I like easy and loose arrangements that are forgiving. I place some branches here and some floral stems there until I’m happy with the result.

Copper is perfect for fall home decor

I have had this vintage copper pitcher for some time now. Unfortunately, I can’t remember where I even got it. Typically it sits on a shelf in my kitchen, but I love using it for floral arrangements. Copper is a perfect metal and color for fall decor.

The key to creating a floral arrangement using faux flowers is to buy the most authentic looking ones that you can afford. I love finding blooms like this at HomeGoods or during the 50% sale at Hobby Lobby.

This arrangement creates a great focal point in my sunroom. The curly branches give it height, while leaving the view open.

I hope that you have been inspired in some small way today. Do you have Fall Fever yet?
