Well…it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at my house! Most of our decorations were brought up from the basement last night. It took a few people and a lot of huffing and puffing, but I am grateful for the extra hands 🙂
While down in the basement, I brought up one of my old Coca Cola soda crates. I decided to incorporate it with my kitchen decor. I love the worn red and white lettering – perfect vintage Christmas colors.
Cut evergreen from my conifer trees…
Pinecones from my backyard and faux holly berries…
Removing the lids…I love the old wood and lettering on the inside of the crate too.
I added tea lights to the bottom of the jars…
I loosely add the conifer greenery…
and the berries and pinecones.
The golden glow of the tea lights are so pretty in the kitchen. I’m not sure if I will leave this on the countertop or put it on the kitchen table. I just love the colors and the rustic time worn look of the crate.
For tiny tea lights they cast a bright light.
I’m already thinking of another project for another crate I have. I will let you know if it turns out 🙂
