Christmas Cloche Centerpiece Ideas

Where are you with your Christmas decorating? Finished weeks ago? Haven’t started yet or somewhere in-between? Earlier this week I attended a festive holiday gathering. One of the party-goers pulled me aside and sheepishly stated that she hadn’t even started her Christmas decorating yet. She said that she was caught off-guard with Thanksgiving being so late, and then the busy holiday season began. I assured her that there was nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. This had me thinking about easy and quick solutions for her. It sparked the conversation of Christmas cloche centerpiece ideas.

Typically a cloche is a glass bell-shaped cover that forces outdoor bulbs. We consider a cloche anything displayed inside or under glass in a decorative way.

For our Christmas cloche centerpiece ideas, all you need is:

  • Glass cloches, mason jars, canisters or anything similar that is clear glass
  • Faux snow
  • Assorted ornaments
  • Bottlebrush trees

Let your creativity flow

For this cloche display, I simply added a glitter house ornament and green bottlebrush trees.

Just add snow, then nestle the decorative pieces inside.

Next, I created a snowy white scene. A bisque white Dollar Spot tree is surrounded by white bottlebrush trees or assorted sizes.

You can even create miniature versions. The next display was made by using a Yoplait yogurt jar. With the addition of two white mini trees and a tiny deer it became instant holiday in the woods.

It’s Ornamental

This adorable Christmas truck ornament was snatched off of the tree and added to a cloche.

The red pom pom ribbon was added to create a more festive look.

Jenn’s mantel houses these upside-down creations. One is a candleholder and the other is a mason jar.

Under this cloche, I didn’t even add snow. Just a cute Santa and a couple of trees.

What about filling a cloche with lots of silver bells?

An oversized birdhouse ornament looks so good. Adding a miniature wreath to the “front door” makes it more festive.

Pink bottlebrush trees and silver ornaments give lots of shimmer.

This cloche is a variation of the faux snow. I added white sugar and homemade gingerbread cookies. It looks so cute in the kitchen.

There are endless possibilities of Christmas cloche centerpiece ideas. If you are running low on time, these jars make for great decor. You can sprinkle them throughout the house. What would you put inside of a cloche?
