We have partnered with some of our favorite blogger friends to bring you beautiful fall inspiration. Be sure to follow all of the links at the bottom of our post. A big “thank you” to our friend Angie of  Postcards from the Ridge for hosting this tour. But first, let’s take a look at our creation!

Supplies

  • paper napkin
  • piece of scrap wood
  • white craft paint
  • ModPodge
  • foam brush
  • fall floral embellishments
  • white felt for felt flowers
  • hot glue

Put it all together

Add 2 coats of white craft paint to a scrap piece of wood. Let dry completely.

While the paint is drying, cut out a pumpkin shape from a napkin. This does not need to be perfect. Paper napkins are typically 3-ply. After you cut out the shape, only use the single outer layer.

Add ModPodge to the scrap wood and add the pumpkin shape on top.

Carefully remove any bubbles or wrinkles in the napkin. Add another layer of ModPodge on top of the napkin. Let dry completely.

While the ModPodge is drying, begin making felt flowers. You can read our entire post for the full tutorial on How to Make Felt Flowers. After making my flowers, I decided to only use the white ones.

How to Make Felt Flowers

Using a hot glue gun, I began adding my fall embellishments. A stick from my yard worked perfectly as a stem.

After sifting through my fall stash of items, I began adding other elements. Orange berries added the perfect pop of color.

Next I added leaves and curly twigs.

This piece of art looks perfect in my dining room! Be sure to choose a napkin that matches your decor!
