As most of you know I got married a couple of weeks ago…yay!!! It took a lot of planning, but in the end I could not have asked for a better day! This post will be the first of many that will show you some of the goodies and decor that we did for our guests and special day. For those out of town guests, and we had several, we wanted to do a welcome bag that was truly Southern inspired.
We found these awesome canvas bags on Cafe Press and they were having a great sale! We thought they definitely fit our rustic/vintage vibe 🙂 We were also incredibly impressed with the quality of them.
We couldn’t have a welcome bag without a good old fashioned bottle of Coca-Cola…and of course we had to provide some Jack so guests could make one of our favorite special bevs!
We have always loved Nora Mill Granary and were so excited to learn that they made smaller bags of their grits. We really wanted to add something that was truly unique to Georgia and the “Georgia Ice Cream” (aka White Speckled Grits) were the perfect addition.
And we have such a sweet tooth, especially for chocolate and peanut butter, that we had to add Little Debbie Nutty Bars, which are also made in the South.
I don’t know about you, but we love Zazzle. We have always had great luck on this site and we happened to come across these vintage looking postcards and thought they would be perfect! We were also able to add a personalized note on them.
We think that the bags turned out great and were a nice little treat for our out of town guests. Stay tuned for more wedding posts about the decor, that we can’t wait to share with you!
