Hey there…we hope y’all are having a great week. Atlanta weather has been beautiful – although our temperature is dropping by the minute today. We certainly love the colder weather, even though not everyone in our households agree 🙂
Today’s post will showcase two more wedding projects. We are so glad that you have enjoyed reading these highlights of the Big Day 🙂 We have enjoyed reading and answering your e-mails for more detailed information. We are glad to assist you in any way that we can!
Back at the beginning of the year we were already in wedding planning mode. We had an idea of what we wanted the look and feel to be for the wedding and the reception. We shared our visit to our friend Jim’s antique store – Black Bear Creek Antiques – in Clayton, Georgia. You can read that entire post here.
Jim procured a lot of skeleton keys for us so that we could choose the 60 keys that we needed for our wedding escort cards.
In seventh heaven…aren’t these keys beautiful?
We found the escort card graphics from this Etsy shop owner. It was so easy to download her graphics onto our home computer. We printed out a sheet of cards on thick card stock and attached each key with jute.
The cards were attached onto a moss-covered frame, in alphabetical order so that each couple could easily find their key to their table.
We loved how they turned out – and they paired so well with our rustic table numbers. You can see that post here.
Bridesmaids Gifts…
Before leaving the hotel for the wedding and reception venue, each bridesmaid was given her gift…
A special map necklace was created for each bridesmaid. The vintage maps included the city in which I met each bridesmaid and also had a hand-stamped brass initial charm.
I wanted the gifts to be special, meaningful and something that each of my girls could use in their everyday lives.
They all loved their gifts…
…you can really see the detail in this photo.
I also have a necklace for myself. My hope is that each one of my bridesmaids remembers my special day – and our friendship – each time she wears her necklace.
Love it all! I know that a lot of thought and detail went into the wedding. You can tell. These are such great ideas that I know many can benefit from. Can’t wait to see more of your ideas.
Oh.My.Goodness! These are wonderful! The keys with the table cards, and the table numbers with the antique door hardware ~ just genius, and so pretty. I know everyone loved it. The bride’s maids necklaces are truly special ~ so thoughtful for your special day. Love everything you’ve shared from the big event and hope you are enjoying everyday now 🙂 Bwg ~~~
Such sweet and thoughtful ways to help make your guests and closest friends feel special. This entire series was so creative and amazing. I would rest my fingers for a bit, I’m pretty sure you’re going to be answering lots of fabulous emails.!

After having planned a wedding for our daughter last Thanksgiving, I can so appreciate the time and thought that went into the place cards and bridesmaids gifts!!! Like, SO appreciate! Those keys are NOT easy to find (I know), and figuring out the names and seating arrangement is a job in itself!!!
Jennifer and Vicki, I hope the day was so very special for both of you.
Thanks for sharing these personal, great, unique ideas!
