Watermelon Cosmo…

Okay y’all, by now you know that we love our special bevs!  I created this Watermelon Cosmo cocktail for Jennifer’s – Little Bees – 30th birthday gathering. Great time to celebrate Jennifer’s life, be with family and to drown my sorrows that I’m old enough to have a 30 year old child 🙂 But I digress…

The weather has been beautiful and I knew I wanted us to dine alfresco. Being outdoors, I wanted to serve a cool adult beverage. We all love watermelon and I knew I could create something a bit sweet, and tad sour and ultimately delicious.

Here’s how I did it…

Puree fresh watermelon in the blender…

…strain to remove pulp.

I must say, it was delicious!!! It was well received by men and women alike. I couldn’t make them quick enough – which I take as a good sign and that they really liked it! The birthday girl especially loved it!

A wonderful time was had by all! So happy to add this Watermelon Cosmo recipe to our Summertime cocktail list!
