Strawberry Frosé – Frozen Rosé and Strawberries
Dare I mention again, that it has been hotter than Hades here in Georgia. We are hoping for a reprieve from the heat later this week. Luckily, this week I visited a restaurant and they had a cocktail special on their menu, Frosé. I can’t resist a frozen cocktail, especially in the heat of summer. Unfortunately the bartender wasn’t willing to share his recipe. I watched him closely as he made these special bevs. This is how I created my version of a Strawberry Frosé – Frozen Rosé and Strawberries.
What is Frosé?
Frosé is rosé wine mixed with frozen fruit and blended in a blender. In our recipe I used frozen strawberries.Super simple, right?
Strawberry Frosé - Frozen Rosé and Strawberries
Frose' is rosé wine, blended with frozen fruit. We made Strawberry Frose'. A perfect cocktail to beat the summer heat!
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup rose' wine
- Granulated sugar to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Add frozen strawberries to a blender.
- Pour in the rose' wine.
- Pulse blender on high until mixture is smooth.
- Taste for sweetness. Add granulated sugar one teaspoon at a time, until desired sweetness is achieved.
- Serve immediately with a festive straw.
Notes
- To make Strawberry Frose' with a whole bottle of rose' use 6 cups of frozen strawberries. Feel free to use more.
A few weeks ago, Jenn and I took Baby Bee strawberry picking. I made several batches of Freezer Strawberry Jam with my bounty. I also froze some of the strawberries for later use. These berries were perfect for this cocktail.
Making this cocktail could not be any easier. Strawberry Frose’ takes just a minute to blend in the blender. You control how much sugar – if any – you want to add.
Add a super cute and festive straw, serve immediately.
Cold, light and delicious! I’ll be looking for other fruits to experiment with as the summers moves along. Maybe watermelon?
