“Spring” It On…

I ordered this uber cute welcome basket from Decor Steals! I was on pins and needles until it was delivered. When I opened the box, I was very impressed with how large the basket is. The weaving and rope detail are top quality. I couldn’t wait to get started making it cute for Spring to hang on my front door.

I typically do not like using artificial flowers or plants in my house. I had two urns in my basement that were decorated with said flowers but, I also had natural elements mixed in as well – dried flowers, sticks and feathers. Plus, with this basket hanging outside on the front door, it wasn’t practical for me to choose live plants.

I ventured to the basement to pluck the urns of ornamentation!

I even reused the floral foam – I cut it in half to fit in the bottom of my basket.

I laid out the flowers and stems…

…and started filling the basket. I wanted a free, loose feeling about the arrangement.

Front door…

…Ta Da!

I think it looks beautiful! – If I do say so myself – as well as my neighbor when she saw me hanging it 🙂
