Hope y’all had a wonderful weekend! The weather was actually more bearable this weekend, so we spent some time outside and didn’t feel like we were melting, which was so nice. With that being said, I am still ready for Fall. Since I finally showed you my Victorian farmhouse kitchen a few weeks ago, I decided it was time to show you my farmhouse back door entry! The back door entry leads into the kitchen and is a smaller space. But I am all about functionality and definitely wanted to utilize the space as best as I could.

This bench was the perfect addition for the back door entry, because it doesn’t take up too much room, but is a great place for storage. I’m able to add a basket to the shelf where we can store blankets and dog leashes. Truth be told it doesn’t always look this neat and there are generally a couple extra pair of shoes underneath the bench. And maybe another purse hanging from the hooks. Just maybe lol.

The stairway leads to the sweet suite I shared a couple of weeks ago. This wall was just an empty space and was in need of some TLC. I decided to make it into a little gallery wall with some adorable farm animal prints I got at HomeGoods. I also made the “Farm Fresh” sign and the compass, which I will be sharing more with you next week.

I’m a sucker for getting fresh hydrangeas each week. It is definitely a weakness, but something that cheers up my day. Also, mom made these adorable market bags from drop cloths last year and I just love it!

I’ll eventually get more rustic hooks, but for now, this will do.

I love my farmhouse back door entry decor. This is how I come into my home on most days, so it is so nice to have a pretty and functional space to walk into. That is before the dogs bombard me haha!

  1. Jenn, you are so smart to use that bench, baskets and those hooks to keep the entry organized! We use a similar system and love it too. I can’t wait to read more about the farm fresh sign, it’s so cute and i love all the pieces you’ve picked out for your gallery wall as well. Everything is really coming together. I’m so proud for you guys! Hugs, CoCo
