Hey y’all…If you blink you might miss today’s project – it’s that easy LOL. In the vein of keeping the holidays simple and my vow of not spending any money on decor, I came up with an idea to make my gift wrap a bit more special.
Last year I created these Vintage Christmas Postcard PoinsettiasĀ .
When I was going through my craft stash I came across some of the leftover papers from this project. I also had some Christmas stickers that I didn’t use last year. My creative lightbulb clicked and Easy To Make Christmas Gift Tags were born. Here’s how I did it:
- Using Vintage Christmas Postcards I lined up several on my personal printer and printed them out on 8 1/2 x 11 card stock. ***I want to stress that none of the vintage postcards were harmed for this craft – they were only photocopied***
- I printed out 4 sheets
- I then cut the sheets in various sizes.
Here’s where the real fun began. I started adding the Christmas stickers to the card stock – mixing the vintage postcards with the brightly colored stickers. On some cards I added a couple of stickers.
Blending the vintage with the new is also my home design style – go figure! I love pairing something old and worn with something bright and shiny.
Even though I’m not spending any extra money on decor, I still want to wrap pretty gifts and make them personal and special for the recipients.
…and remember – I shared with you that I love Santa Claus! Isn’t he cute?
So…did you blink? I promise you that these tags took just a couple of minutes to make.
You could use scrapbook paper, plain card stock or thick wrapping paper as your background. Craft stores are loaded with stickers…make sure to check the clearance items first.
