Woodland Fox and Christmas Plaid Gift Wrapping…

Hey there and welcome to Day Two of our Blogger Christmas Series. Did you enjoy yesterdays recipe posts? I know that we sure did and look forward to making (and eating) each and everyone of them 🙂

Today is all about gift wrap! Each Christmas I try to make some pretty and creative gift wrap for my gifts. Being totally honest, around wrapping box number ten I’m kind of over the Christmas wrapping and I start using gift bags – especially for larger items. Then, this year I thought , wait a minute – I can decorate kraft paper gift bags! This year I am crushing on the whole Woodland theme but I really adore the Woodland Fox.

So…I gathered all of my materials which, believe it or not I already have in my craft room – which right now looks more like a junk room 🙂 I wasn’t sure if my plaid fabric idea would work so I had plaid paper at the ready.

I used cleaned thrift store plaid shirts in green and red for my patterns.

I used my trusty Heat and Bond again. Remember a few weeks ago I made the Reindeer Tote Bag found here? I used the same method for my gift bags. After I ironed the paper onto the wrong side of the fabric, I drew patterns onto the backside of the Heat and Bond paper…

After I cut out all of my shapes, I peeled off the paper backing…

…and ironed it onto the paper bag. FOR SAFTEY reasons be careful with your hot iron. You only need to iron-on your cutout for 3 seconds – that’s all 🙂 Just be mindful that you are ironing paper.

I also created fox wood slice gift tags…I will share those details with you next week 🙂

I even used the shirt front pocket as gift wrap. I think it’s pretty cute!

This gift looks perfect in this vintage crate…
