Hey y’all…We are excited to share our Christmas gift wrap with you. We have teamed up with nine of our blogging friends in the hopes of inspiring you for your holiday gift wrapping ideas.
When we begin brainstorming ideas for Christmas, we generally start with a theme and color scheme. This year our chosen theme is Weathered Wood Christmas!
Honestly, our gift wrap idea was born after Christmas last year. This wood-look paper was 75% off after Christmas! Doesn’t this look like a real birch log?
When we spotted this ribbon we knew we had a winner. We think the birch wood paper pairs beautifully with this moss green ribbon with a gorgeous gold glitter stripe.
When we wrap gifts we like to add pizazz, personality and personal touches. Being that we love weathered wood so much, we decided to create personalized gift tags for our wrapped gifts. We wanted the tags to have an aged look. We used our tried and true vinegar stain that weathers wood in minutes!
- We started with these inexpensive wooden shapes
- We added a coat of homemade vinegar stain and set the pieces outside to let the sunshine work its magic. As the pieces dry they turn an ashy gray color.
- We embellished each tag with white craft paint
In keeping with our wood theme, we added dried twigs to each package.
Here’s what’s under our tree…
The arrows are so cute…
Don’t you just love the sparkle?
We love making bows. We try to make each gift box look a bit different.
So…are you inspired yet? We sure hope so!
Don’t forget to check out our friends for more inspiration. Also, come back tomorrow to see other inspiration too!
