Hey there…just a quick post today as I am feverishly working on final Christmas decor touches in my dining room. Thank goodness the rest of the house is done! This year, I have decided to go with a rustic touch in my decorations. I am showing you a sneak peek of my DIY table runner project. You can read the full post on Friday. 🙂
In the dining room, I am using natural elements like branches, berries, pinecones and greenery. The main colors are red and beige. Yesterday I decided I wanted to use some burlap elements on the dining room table. I had some creamy white burlap and natural jute burlap on hand.
I used a paintbrush to freehand the word JOY on the burlap. I am obviously not a great freehand painter 🙂 I poured some of the acrylic paint into a squeeze bottle with a small tip to help clean up the lines.
I’m pleased with how the lettering turned out. These are some of the elements I will be using for my table. The dining room is coming together nicely – if I say so myself 🙂 It is the last room – and then I am done with the decorating!
