Spring Fever is a real phenomenon. Personally I sense the excitement of the season in the air. The days are a bit warmer with crystal blue skies. I feel drawn to my local garden center, like a beacon harkening me to purchase flowering shrubs – and I don’t even have a yard. My wardrobe selections want to be lighter and colorful. My mood is lightened as I dance along the cleaning aisle of the grocery store just itching to begin Spring cleaning. Realistically I know that there could be another seasonal freeze, but I ache to be outside with nature. This is how I came up with the idea for this Spring book page art idea.
Springtime here at the lake is glorious. In a few weeks the dogwoods and azaleas will be in full bloom. The trees are just now budding with the promise of new green leaves. Currently there is a singing bird happily building a nest. I can’t wait to keep watch for the new hatchlings. These are just a few of the reasons that I came up with this “Spring Is In The Air” quote.
The cute bird artwork is from Graphics Fairy. You really need to visit her site as she has literally tons of free vintage graphics. The same book was used for THIS book page artwork and THIS one.
I have several glass cloches and I like displaying lots of things under them…vintage silver, moss balls and artwork. I used this live-edge tree stump slice as the base.
Several years ago I found this abandoned nest while out on a walk. I can’t believe it has lasted this long as it is so delicate. I’m always in awe of how a little bird can weave such a beautiful nest.
This plastic egg fit perfectly in the center of the nest.
After I printed the artwork quote I nestled it next to the nest under the cloche.
Camelia bushes in the woods in front of our house are in full bloom with these pretty pink buds.
How cute is this? It looks great on the coffee table in the sunroom.
It feels wonderful to bring a bit of nature inside the house. I will be embracing the beautiful weather and the beginning of Spring in the next few weeks.
How do you embrace the arrival of Spring?
