Typically my mantel is the first thing decorated for a new season or holiday. This year I created a Silver and Gold Christmas Mantel.

Hey friends – I’m so glad that you’re here! Today I’m excited to join 30 other bloggers for the Celebrate Christmas Home Tour hosted by our friend Leen from Sand Dollar Lane.  You can find links to everyone’s ideas at the bottom of this post. But first, please take a tour of my Silver and Gold Christmas Mantel.

For those that don’t know me, I’m Vicki, the mother-half of 2 Bees in a Pod. My daughter Jenn and I enjoy painting furniture, making-over thrifted finds and creating homes that we love. Most importantly, we love hanging out together any chance we get!

If you are joining me from Leen’s home, welcome! Wasn’t her Christmas dining room beautiful?

Gold accents for the mantel

When I was organizing my Christmas bins, I noticed that I had enough gold-tone Christmas trees to create a display. I knew that they would pair well with my recently updated mantel decor of sconces and vintage inspired mirror.

Next, I sprinkled in other trees of mercury glass, and pearls.

I love the “Joy” and “Noel” trees. They have been part of my Christmas stash for years. To me they look like mercury glass topped with a gold rim.

Brass candlesticks are thrift store finds. They are topped with battery and remote controlled candle tapers.

When I turn them on the candles look like authentic, burning candles.

The sequined tree sparkles at night.

In the evening everything glows beautifully. You can see a tiny peek of my Christmas tree. I’ll be sharing the full tree later this week.

I hope that you have enjoyed my part of the tour. Up next is Kristy of At Home with Kristy. Her Stroll down Christmas Memory Lane decor won’t disappoint! Remember to come back and visit each day for more Christmas goodness!
