Patriotic 4th of July Porch decor.
Can you believe that today is the first day of July? Half of 2019 has flown by at warp speed.Don’t you think it flew by quickly? We always seem to be catching our breath because we feel so far behind. LOL We finally got around to decorating our front porch. Decorating the outdoor spaces of your home for a holiday or summer season needn’t be difficult or expensive. Here is our patriotic 4th of July porch and walkway.
Greeting guests into our homes is very important to us. We love to entertain year-round, but especially during the summer months. This cute welcome flag is the first thing friends see upon arrive at our home.
This rustic bird feeder was a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. It looks great along the walkway to our front door.
Flags, flags and more flags
Nothings says “4th of July” like a bunch of American flags. These have been collected over time and on clearance.
The create a visual impact as they are displayed together along the walkway.
When you reach our front door you are greeted with more flags.
Several flags were added to a woven splint basket and hung on the front door. This is a great alternative to a wreath.
You might notice that the front door mat matches the pattern of the welcome flag. They came together as a set. They are red, white and blue without screaming “stars and stripes”. This way they can both be displayed throughout the summer.
Wise Words
We kept the wine barrel table at the front door. If you read our spring porch front door decor you will see not too much was changed. A single miniature flag was added to the flowering plant. A clearance sale sign from last year is placed behind the plant. This Abraham Lincoln quote is a great reminder to all of us.
These words are so wise and appropriate even by today’s standards.
This overall look was created in less than five minutes. When the holiday is over, all of the flags can be easily removed in quick order. The best part is that they are lightweight and easily stored.
Have you decorated your front porch for the 4th of July or the summer season? We would love for you to share your photos!
Love everything about your patriotic 4th of July look. Where could I buy the terrific flag and mat?
Also, the bird house?
Thx so much. Love your blog!
Hi Jacque-
Thank you so very much! We truly appreciate it. The door mat and flag were purchased from our local Ace Hardware. Being that Ace is franchised we aren’t sure if they are available at all stores. Good luck!

I always enjoy your wonderful ideas! My apologies if I missed this previously posted information. Would you kindly let me know the blue paint color of the front door?
Many Thanks,
Liz
Such a fun and festive way to celebrate the summer season ladies! Those flags are all so fabulous. I can’t definitely see how people would feel welcome in your home the minute they walk down the path. It’s beautiful. Love and hugs, CoCo
