How to Make Soothing Lavender Sleep Spray
Do you ever have a hard time going to sleep at night? Or maybe you find difficulty in clearing your mind and being able to relax. Personally as of late, I have not been able to get a good night’s sleep. It could be the season of my life or it could be from stress and worry. Today I am going to share how to make soothing lavender sleep spray.
Back in October we went to a wedding in New York. Me dear friend Barbara gave us a beautiful guest bag. Included was a lavender spray mist and I have used every single bit of it.
After doing a bit of research I was thrilled to discover that the fragrance of lavender is a natural sleep aid. It is soothing, calming and enhances your sleep experience. I decided to make my own lavender sleeping spray. It’s perfect for misting your sheets and pillowcases.
Lavender Sleep Spray Supplies and Directions
- 4 ounce bottle with a misting nozzle – glass bottle is best
- 20 drops of Lavender essential oil
- 3 ounces of distilled water
- 2 TBS isopropyl alcohol
- Carefully add all of the liquid ingredients to the spray bottle.
- Screw nozzle into place.
- Before spraying shake well.
- DO NOT spray directly onto sheets.
- Spray the lavender sleeping spray above sheets and pillowcases.
Luckily I spotted this bottle of lavender essential oil at Home Goods.
Amber bottles are plentiful in our house and leftover from cleaning and beauty supplies.
If you would like to print out labels of your own, I have included the PDF link and the graphic.

This sleep spray will also make perfect gifts for family and friends.
I made an extra bottle to keep in the guest bedroom too.
If you are having trouble sleeping, I highly recommend this lavender sleeping spray. I am not an essential oil expert by any means, but I do know that this spray works.
I even read that you can rub a little bit of the lavender oil on the bottom of your feet to aid in sleeping.
Let me know if you decide to make this sleeping spray. I would love to know what you think. Sweet dreams!
I so cannot wait to try this ladies! I love anything with lavender so the fact I can easily spray some on my sheets now is definitely an added bonus. LOVE! Hugs, CoCo
