Framed Christmas Tea Towel as Art – Super Simple Project.

It’s time for us to roll out our first Christmas project of the year. You might think that it is too early, but we like to do things well in advance so that you can make our ideas for your own home. Our framed Christmas tea towel as art takes just a few minutes to create. When the holidays are so rushed and busy, this is our favorite type of project.

When I returned from my vacation, I admittedly was in a bit of a panic. It seemed like everyone on the planet was already Decking the Halls. Their matching Christmas PJ’s were ordered and the hot cocoa stations were assembled.

Bright Ideas

Meanwhile creative Christmas ideas seemed to elude me. I decided a trip to Hobby Lobby was in quick order. Cruising the holiday aisles, row by row definitely did the trick. Even better was that everything Christmas related was 50% off. My cart was full of fun goodies that I’ll be sharing with you over the next couple of weeks.

Tea Time

This cute tea towel was perfect inspiration for artwork. I knew that framed it would look like a graphic sign, but without all of the work.

Being half-priced it was just $4.00.

I used this 8×10 frame from the Painted Frame Makeover. Thank goodness the work was already done.

I simply wrapped the tea towel around the cardboard and taped it with painters tape. No cutting was involved so that I can use the towel later.

Super cute, isn’t it?

This project took just a couple of minutes to complete.

You will definitely see more of this cute framed Christmas tea towel as art in my holiday decor.

I’m so glad that I went to Hobby Lobby for inspiration. The gray matches my painted hutch perfectly!

You will be seeing more of these holly berry buckets too!

I found a few inspiration pieces and included affiliate links for convenience.

I truly hope that you are inspired to frame a tea towel. You can even wrap it around an art canvas like I did with this DIY Farmhouse Canvas Art. So inexpensive and a great way to express your personality! I would love to see what you come up with.

  1. this is so simple and looks so nice! I recently framed a chicken-feed placemat that I found at Walmart! I used plexiglass instead of glass since I hung it outside on my chicken coop!

  2. Ok, you guys are totally blowing my mind right now – this is such an awesome craft. I can’t even get over how seriously easy this is to make. I’ll definitely be on the hunt for a pretty frame and a fun tea towel this week because I need something fabulous like this in my kitchen. Thanks so much for the great idea. Hugs, CoCo

  3. Great idea! I saw those towels last time I was there, but would’ve never though to frame them!
