We’re sharing our fall tiered tray today with buffalo check and natural elements.
Well it’s maybe gotten a couple of degrees cooler outside, but still not quite fall like. That hasn’t stopped us from starting to decorate our homes for fall! With the air conditioning going, we can pretend it’s also cool outside too. Today I’m sharing a simple fall tiered tray we put together for our coffee table. I used a mix of buffalo check and neutral decor.
Buffalo check and neutral decor seem to be popular again this fall. And I can’t say that I mind! I gravitate towards the more muted colors for my fall decor. Though I do love pops of color, which you can see in the background of my living room.
When styling a tiered tray it’s all about adding and subtracting. I typically have all of my materials gathered and then I start putting larger items onto the tiers that I think will work. It really is trial and error until I get the look I want.
Isn’t that fall sign cute? I really wanted to include it in the fall tiered tray, but it was a little tricky getting it in. So glad it ended up working out! Also, I luckily had some neutral vase filler decor that worked so well with the theme.
Who doesn’t love buffalo check during fall and winter? It adds a little more texture, which I love. We made a buffalo check wreath previously and it is one of our favorite DIY crafts. You can see it here. Also the sprig of eucalyptus I had was perfect for another element.
I got these vintage looking apothecary bottles from a thrift store years ago and I always love incorporating them in my fall decor. You can see them used on my entryway shelves a couple of years ago. They’re the perfect color and I always feel a slightly spooky element as a nod to Halloween.
I also love these mini bales of hay I got from a craft store last year. They were a little messy when I opened them up, but it was worth it.
Although we’re still a couple of weeks from it officially being fall, we’ve been ready for a few weeks. We can only take the heat for so long haha. Decorating our homes for fall has been giving us some energy, as well as doing some baking. It might also be that I feel like I’m in the nesting phase of my pregnancy, which has been enjoyable. I’m hoping that continues so I can keep getting projects done!
