Fall Front Porch

I’ll be the first one to tell you that for Christmas I start decorating Thanksgiving weekend.  But for fall, I typically just put out a wreath and a pumpkin or two.  My mom is usually the one to spruce up the front of her house with fall decor.

But this year I thought, “I should totally decorate my house !  I love the season, so why haven’t I decorated the previous years?”

I knew I wanted to incorporated mums, pumpkins, and hay into my decor and it was really just putting the pieces together until I achieved the look I was going for.

And here it is after!

I love how the crimson and yellow mums really pop with the orange of the pumpkins, as well as the sweet little wooden bird house.  I also thought adding a wreath to the side of the house, instead of the door, brought in some more color.

I also couldn’t resist putting in the witch and the owl in the background.
