I can’t express enough how much I love sharing easy, fun and pretty projects with you. It’s always important to me that my home decor be a reflection of my style, but my overall budget is really the most important focus. When I moved this Summer to our vacation home, I made a promise to myself that I would reuse and repurpose as much as I could…furniture, bedding, artwork and more. I want my home to be as beautiful as possible without spending a ton of money. This also includes seasonal and holiday decor. Today’s project is an easy DIY fall pillow. I’m proud to say that it cost me less than $5.00!

Once again, I used this transfer paper that I had leftover from other projects.. The graphics are so crisp with the iron-on method. Additionally, I opted to use a craft store pillow cover. After the discount it was $4.80 – and the insert was a pillow form from another decorative pillow that I am no longer using.

Currently most of my home is filled with classic blue and white and a very casual style. My Fall decor will be an expression of this as well. If you have been reading 2 Bees for any length of time (especially the last couple of weeks) you know that I already have Fall Fever. Cooler temps, fresh air, pumpkin spice lattes, boots, scarves…it is my favorite time of year. Hence my pillow quote “Fall…you get me”.

You can create whatever saying, phrase or quote that best expresses yourself. I chose navy blue ink and a font that is similar to an old fashioned typewriter.

Most of my fall and holiday decor is in storage. Insert sad face. Needless to say I will need to be more creative as the season progresses. Did you get a chance to see the Felt Flowers that I made yesterday?

Vintage suitcases are one of my go-to decorating items. Being that this house is smaller, the suitcases are now doubling as much needed storage.

This super cute and lush pom-pom throw was a recent purchase from TJMaxx. Hold onto your boots…it was only $10.99! Don’t go hating me now 🙂

I’m thrilled with how the pillow turned out. It looks great in the painted wing chair and matches the navy blue perfectly.

New decorative items don’t need to cost an arm and a leg. The transfer paper is the largest initial expense…but there are enough sheets included for several projects.  You can create this easy DIY Fall pillow in any color or style to fit your decor. In the meantime I will keep getting ready for the new season. Thank goodness, Fall…you get me!

Until tomorrow…
