There was a lot that caught my eye this week for current favorite fall inspiration.
I have been glued to the weather channel for hurricane updates from Jim Cantore and his team. Aren’t these men and women amazing (or crazy) for putting themselves in peril to bring everyone the latest up-to-the-minute information? We are praying for our friends and family that live in the affected areas – and there are many! To keep myself distracted, I went online for some retail therapy and was soon down the rabbit hole. I thought that I would share my current favorite fall inspiration.
Flannel isn’t for Everyone
Flannel shirts definitely signify that fall has begun. The fabric is soft, pretty and it is usually plaid. I’m definitely mad for plaid. Sadly, my body type isn’t. Over the weekend I saw this quote and laughed so hard that I literally spit out my coffee. My short-waisted self can relate. After sending out the quote to a couple of people – they thought it was hysterical too, so I decided to create this meme.
Who else can relate? Every year I try, I really do. But it ends up being a fitting room of disappointment each and every time and me thinking I should create a “Lumberjacks Anonymous” group. I’m better off sticking with houndstooth or smaller checked print.
Like below – look at the adorable gingham shirt jacket. I’ve ordered it and can’t wait for it to arrive! Just like the description says, I plan to use it as a shirt and as a lightweight jacket.
Great Artwork
This is also the time of year that I love to display cute artwork. Aren’t the white truck and pie paintings adorable?
Let’s get cozy
You know I can never resist a good cozy throw, especially when it is this beautiful shade of blue.
The copper shaker is on sale and perfect for making our favorite Moscow Mules recipe.
It’s fun to escape online or in magazines and get seasonal inspiration. This is great to do for our homes and our wardrobes. You should see all of the cute shoes and boots I book marked LOL!
I’m on team plaid too! I could seriously wear it every day despite the Florida heat. Love these fall idea ladies. Hugs, CoCo
