I hope you loved seeing Mom’s Christmas Tour the other day as much as I did! I definitely get jealous sometimes with the extra space they have that unfortunately I don’t have in our little cottage. Ā But I was able to really maximize the space with Christmas decorations this year and I think it turned out pretty great…if I do say so myself š
Living Room –Ā
As you can tell from the mantel I posted last week, I am really into the rustic feel of things, which was my focus for both the living room and front porch this year. Ā A lot of the time I like to keep things pretty simple, so for my Christmas tree I just used red and gold ornaments. Ā I also stole one of mom’s poinsettas to use as a tree topper, which fit perfectly.
Dining Room –Ā
Since the living room has a more rustic and traditional feel, I wanted the dining room to have a little bit more color. Ā Our curtains are blue and green, so I love how the tree really compliments this well. Ā Our dining room table is small, so I wanted to keep this simple as well. Ā I was lucky enough to stumble upon a great sale of burlap at Hancock Fabrics, so I used extra burlap from the tree skirt in the living room as a tablecloth here. Ā I also used Santa gift tags as table settings with a sprig of rosemary.
Exterior –Ā
I love the front porch of our little cottage and I wanted to bring the rustic elements I included on the interior to the exterior of our home. Ā The galvanized tub I had was perfect to fill this little tree! Ā I also love the woodland owl wreath I created and feel like it tied into my mantel really well.

Hi Jenn, super beautiful tour. The gift tag idea is adorbs!!!! Christine from Little Brags!!!!
Hey Christine, thanks so much! I thought those gift tags were too cute to pass up š
Your home is so elegant! I love it! I love your red and gold ornaments. They look so pretty next on the green tree. I have all sorts of ornaments right now and want to have a tree that is more sophisticated. I have been trying to decide what ornaments to do, but right now red and gold is my favorite combination.
My living room tree is usually a mix of different ornaments, but the red and gold really spoke to me this year. Thank you so much for stopping by!
Your mantle is beautiful, I love how one of the mason jars is turned on its side… never seen anyone do that before. Gorgeous place settings, too!
