Y’all, I’m not going to lie…between wedding planning, working a 9-5 job, working on various blog related projects, and managing a booth space, it is all driving me to drink! Ā I was getting tired of the same ole glass of wine or bottle of beer and wanted to create something new. Ā I just did some experimenting and created this special bev that I think is the perfect refreshing summer drink.Ā I love being able to incorporate the basil from my garden, as well as Georgia peaches! Ā It’s also a healthier cocktail option since I use club soda instead of tonic (at least that’s what I tell myself, haha).
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Vodka
- 1 oz. Cointreau
- 4 oz. Club Soda
- 1 Peach
- 12 Basil Leaves
Instructions
You'll want to cut the peach into slices and then muddle with basil. Then add the vodka, cointreau, and club soda and stir. I would let this sit for at least 10 minutes before serving for the flavors to fuse together. Garnish with basil.
I used white peaches, but you can use any kind.
https://2beesinapod.com/basil-peach-cocktail/I don’t have a muddler, but I just use the back of a wood spoon and it works just fine š
I love this pitcher we got on our last trip to St. Augustine. Ā There is a great store in Old Town called Market to Market we always go to. Ā All of the pieces are handmade and painted, which we love!
This really is such a light and refreshing drink for the summer and has become more of a go to drink in our household. Ā It’s nice to change things up a bit š Cheers Y’all!
Say what! This screams refreshingly awesome!
It is refreshingly awesome CoCO!
This sounds absolutely delicious! I never would’ve thought to muddle peach and basil together!
It sounds like an odd combination, but the peach and basil together is so good! Thanks for stopping by Emily!
