This is probably a new favorite – a colorful Thanksgiving tablescape with galvanized feathers.
Typically I’m all about the blues, grays and whites in my home decor. But something just came over me with this table setting. I always tell you that inspiration strikes a spark that can light a fire of creativity. This is this tale of how my colorful Thanksgiving tablescape with galvanized feathers came to be.
Last week I shared my post for the oversized Faux Galvanized Feather and Faux Galvanized Feather Place Cards. Well, this post has been very popular and I am so grateful! Everyone thinks the feathers are real galvanized metal.
On my recent mini-vacation I found these gorgeous napkins in the clearance bin at a HomeGoods store. Four napkins were just $3.00! The colors are beautiful for fall and if you look closely at the gray color it matches the galvanized feathers perfectly. Like, they are an exact match! The napkins just caught my eye because they were so pretty. On the long car ride home I dreamt up the idea of this colorful Thanksgiving tablescape with galvanized feathers.
I wanted something bright, uplifting and cheerful.
Yesterday’s post I shared my best tips on how to transform grocery store flowers into Easy Flower Arrangements. Even though my arrangements were fall inspired, the flowers were also very bright in color.
Oh yeah, I also got to visit one Target store for 5 minutes when I was in Florida. I bought this small galvanized lantern from the Hearth and Hand collection by Joanna Gaines. It’s beautiful and I love it! Don’t you think it’s gorgeous? I added mini gourds and a candle. You can get the lantern to purchase for yourself in small, medium or large.
The jute silverware pouches are so much fun and perfect for the table. I first used them in my Blue and White Fall Tablescape. Great news! World Market has similar pouches and they are on sale right now – a set of four for just $7.79! You can find them HERE. For this tablescape I printed my own inserts
Feathers will always be special to me and these faux galvanized place cards are beautiful!
Thrift Store Score
When my BFF Bambi was visiting, she and I went to a new-to-me store. It was part flea market, thrift and antique shop. This gorgeous French soup tureen was in a booth and caught my eye immediately. Needless to say this beauty came home with me after I paid the grand price of $12.00!

As I promised you last week, here are the free printables. They look best when printed on brown Kraft card stock paper like THIS.
Fresh fallen leaves from my favorite tree perfectly matched the table too.
