Easy Fall Centerpiece in Minutes
Most of us wish that we had more time in our day. Our lives and schedules are already so action-packed and chockfull how can we possibly have time to do any fall decorating? Am I right? Let me be the first one to say, I get it and I completely understand.
Going one step further, you don’t have to decorate for fall. Never feel like you are expected to do anything that you do not want to do. I created this post today because I too was feeling a bit overwhelmed, overworked, over-scheduled and yet I wanted at least one little space that had a tinge of fall decor.
Here my friends is how I created an easy fall centerpiece in minutes!
This bag of vase filler has been in my fall stash for a few years now. These cute little mini pumpkins are used throughout my house over and over again. My $7.99 investment has been well worth it. I grabbed my wooden dough bowl, dumped several of these pumpkins in and then added real pinecones from by neighborhood. My friend collected them for me while out on a walk. How lazy am I that I didn’t even get the pinecones myself 🙂 Remember my tip – bake the pinecones in a 250 degree oven for 30 minutes to make sure you aren’t bringing any bugs into the house.
- 2 wooden candlesticks
- 2 candles
- elevated cuttingboard
- vase with bark
- dough bowl
- vase filler (mini pumpkins)
That’s it – and I think it looks great. I know it definitely made me feel better and like I had accomplished something fall-like.
Personally, I purchase white hydrangeas at the grocery store every two weeks. I love how they look and the blooms last that long if not longer. As I have shared with y’all my blue hydrangeas in my yard have not faired very well this year. My research hasn’t helped me so far, but I am not giving up!
Definitely use what you already have in your own closets, pantry or fall stash.
- Glass or pottery bowl filled with apples or oranges.
- Whole pecans. I know some of you are fortunate to have these trees in your yards.
- Cinnamon sticks – and the fragrance would be amazing.
- Feathers…you know I love feathers!
- Branches and twigs.
- Use several candlesticks of varying height.
- Faux leaves or the real thing from fallen branches.
- Raffia or straw.
Use whatever you love for the fall season and again whatever is easy and at hand.
Remember you want this to be effortless and fun!
Fall is truly my favorite season. Even though it is early I am so happy to have this little spot to enjoy. Hopefully you too will create an easy fall centerpiece in minutes! If so I would love to see it!
On another note, I know that I promised to share my guest bedroom makeover reveal with you tomorrow. Unless a shipping miracle happens and the bedskirt arrives in time – this reveal probably won’t happen. My sincerest apologies. Stayed tuned…never a dull moment around here!
