I’m so excited to share with y’all 12 must have items for small space living from World Market’s new Fall collection! Both mom and I have lived in some smaller homes over the years. We’ve always seem to do a great job of maximizing the space. Utilizing a small living space is all about getting creative and selecting furniture that can serve more than one purpose. In the first home I owned, which was only 900 square feet, the living room was pretty small. It also had kind of an odd layout. There was a wood burning stove that took up a lot of space and I was limited with where I could place my furniture. Happily, I came up with a plan that worked well and the room actually felt a lot more spacious than it was.
You also can’t be afraid to switch up your style. I love the farmhouse style, but I also have some great industrial pieces. Not too mention I am starting to really love boho chic and am delving more into that decor. Throw caution to the wind and create a more eclectic look. At least that’s what I’m telling myself.
Below are some amazing items that we are obsessed with from World Market. We put together a curated look so that you can see how the following pieces of furniture and accents can create a cohesive look. At the same time, hopefully solve some of your small space living problems. You can shop the look below for your convenience. I also give insight below onto why I chose some of these must have items.
Shop the Look:
I have a coffee table similar to the one pictured above, but this one is amazing because it has an extra shelf for more storage. You could place some baskets down there to hold items such as coasters, remotes, games, etc. It is definitely a versatile piece.
Can we talk about this area rug?! It is the perfect size for a smaller space and it is predominately white, which will make the space feel lighter and brighter. The rug will help give the illusion that the small living space is actually larger than it is.
I am swooning over the indigo blue boho pouf and think it is great for any space, but especially for small space living. It can be used as a foot rest, but also extra seating if needed.
The gold Arley accent table is another perfect piece of furniture for small spaces. It can be used as an end table, but if you are having people over, you can turn it into a cocktail table for drinks.
Can we say, the tote basket is a must have? Not only is it adorable, but it is also another great place for storage for extra throw blankets and pillows. Or, you could even use it to hold firewood for next to your mantel.
I’m also loving the wood hairpin media stand, which I think is the perfect piece of furniture for small living room. It won’t take up too much space, but is a great place to house your tv.
