Hey y’all…I can definitely say based off of our heat index that Summer has arrived! Whew, it has been a scorcher this week. Thank goodness we have our newly decorated patio complete and we can escape the heat under the umbrella and shade of the trees to enjoy the outdoors. You can read our patio/porch garden posts HERE and HERE in case you missed it.

I’ve been busy painting and making over lots of furniture in the house so that it ties in with my new design. In my anxiousness of creating a painted table makeover I made the rookie mistake of not taking a before pic. Can you believe it? How long have I been doing this? The photo below is to show you the before finish of the table I painted…hope I’m not confusing you. And don’t worry – this table got a makeover too. I will share it with you later 🙂

I originally painted the table this buttery gold color over 9 years ago. It was time for a change! For the new finish I used Amy Howard’s One Step Paint in French Blue.

I love the new finish and color. I added a light coat of dark paste wax to the entire table.

Here’s a sneak peak at the new wall color too…stay tuned!

Even though this table looks like an antique, it is not. It is actually a newish piece that I bought at a yard sale for $10.

I am loving this new wicker bottle. I love it even more because I bought it for a steal at Hobby Lobby. It was on their 80% clearance rack for just $2.00!! The wicker has one piece that is split but otherwise in great condition. You don’t even notice it, especially with greenery added.

Y’all know I love vintage books and bottles. These are some of my faves.

Even the top edge of the table is detailed.

I just love these curvy legs. The detailing and grooves make it easy to add depth and charm with the paint and wax. I wanted the table to look antiquated, well used and loved.

This painted table now graces our sunroom. I hope to share the room with you next week. I’m really loving how the whole house is coming together!

We will see you back here on Monday with another new post! What are you up to?
