When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted it to have a rustic/vintage feel and that we wanted to make some of the decor ourselves.  I saw an idea for a table number and I knew that we could re-create it…we just needed the materials to do so 🙂

Lucky for us, our friend Carol was re-doing her fence and she had the old fencing she needed to discard of.  It was long pieces of naturally worn wood that we knew would be perfect!  We loaded up mom’s car with the pieces of fencing.

We needed to measure  how large we wanted the displays to be, so we laid everything out to get the right size.

We are so thankful that my Uncle Boo Boo had all of the equipment we needed to make the table numbers.  Here I am “helping” 🙂

The screws that came with the table numbers were a brassy gold that was not going to work.  We stuck the screws in a styrofoam cup and spray painted them brown so they would blend in better.
