I don’t know about y’all and your family, but ours loves a good cocktail…or special bevs as we like to call them. We especially love a good martini recipe. I wanted to do something a little different for the holidays and thought that a dessert martini was the way to go.
As I was looking for inspiration I came across a martini recipe that I thought would be perfect, but wanted to make it a little more my own! I try to keep a decently stocked bar, so I had vodka and amaretto on hand. I also thought a sprinkle of nutmeg would be perfect for the season. And I always have half and half on hand. Voila…Let it Snowtini!!
Ingredients
- 1 oz vodka
- 1 oz amaretto
- 1 oz heavy cream (I used half & half)
- Nutmeg
Instructions
Put several ice cubes in a shaker.
Add the vodka, amaretto, & cream and shake vigorously.
Poor into martini glass and garnish with nutmeg.
https://2beesinapod.com/let-it-snowtini/The martini recipe could not be simpler! I had half & half on hand, so I used this instead of heavy cream. Since half & half isn’t as thick, I added a little bit more to the recipe.
I love this ice bucket we got at a friend’s antique store…
I used several ice cubes since I like my drinks really cold.
I used a larger shot glass, as I was doubling the recipe.
Then I pretended for a moment that I was a bartender 🙂 Shake, shake, shake…
I love our martini glasses…they are so festive!
I then sprinkled a little nutmeg on top.
My family has lots of cocktails for the holidays (or really any time of the year), but we always love sharing new ones and this martini recipe will definitely become one of our Christmas Cocktails. What Christmas cocktail do you prefer? Cheers Y’all!
XO – Jenn
Interesting. Might have to try this one too.
Anything with Vodka sounds good in my book! 😉
Up would be surprised. I only had fat free milk or heavy whipping cream. Decided to mix half and half….delish ! Always in the market for vodka drinks and this is a keeper!
