If you are running behind like me, here is a suggestion for easy 4th of July decor!

Hi friends! It has been a hot minute since my last post. I plan to give y’all a life update next week, and hopefully you will start to see more posts and consistent content from me! Life has definitely thrown me a curveball this year, but I finally feel like I have a sense of normalcy again. This holiday has literally snuck up on me and I’m not prepared. Needless to say, keeping it simple is key. Wanting my house to feel a little more patriotic, I gathered a few things and got to work. Here is my easy 4th of July decor.

Easy 4th of July Decor Ideas

  • Pull together red, white and blue items.
  • Use a lot of American flags – they instantly make a statement.
  • Think outside of the box. Use color appropriate books, pottery, pillows, throws, beads and more.
  • Think of using decor that you already own in a new way.

Fortunately for me, I have a lot of daily blue and white decor in my home. I found that by simply adding American flags of various sizes was enough on their own.

It is also helpful that my friends have given me wonderful gifts. My bestie, Bambi, made me the blue bead garland. For my recent birthday, my friend, Linda, gave me the beautiful Delft vase.

All I had to do was add a small flag for a festive and patriotic look.

Use items that you already have for 4th of July decor

For the last few years I have used this vintage minnow bucket in my summertime and 4th of July decor.

It reminds me of my youth when I would go fishing with my grandpa.

The wooden boat is also vintage and purchased from an antique shop years ago.. I was told that it was a handmade toy from the 1940’s. Imagine being the lucky recipient of this treasure!

Adding a flag at the bow of the boat makes it ready for Independence Day sailing!

This adorable Humpty Dumpty Uncle Sam is a sentimental favorite. My mom made this for me many decades ago. He is proudly displayed each 4th of July, either in the house or on the front porch.

I hope that you have been inspired in some small way today. Hopefully you will be enjoying this holiday weekend with, friends or family. Happy 4th of July!
