We’re keeping our Christmas decor a little simple this year and decided to do a bottlebrush tree mantel. Bottlebrush trees are a Christmas item we love!

Have y’all started decorating for Christmas? I’ve been busy decorating the house before the baby’s arrival. We figure this year, anything goes. I am definitely in the nesting phase of pregnancy and I’m loving it. It feels so great to get the house cleaned, organized, and decorated for the holidays. Because the baby will be here any day, I am keeping things a little more simple. This year I decided to do a bottlebrush tree mantel, incorporating one of my favorite Christmas decor items.

I typically use bottlebrush trees every year in my Christmas decor, but this is the first year I have done them as the focus for the mantel. I love the simple color combo of green and white. Plus, I already had stockings that match it perfectly. We also got this new stocking in anticipation of the baby’s arrival.

Like I said, it’s simple, but I am in love with it! I also have a collection of white ceramic houses that I got from Target years ago, which fit in perfectly.

This watercolor was a cute printable I got from Craftberry Bush many years ago. She is so talented! It just gives the mantel a little pop of red.

Honestly, I wish I had more bottlebrush trees to incorporate on the mantel and really fill the entire space. Already thinking that I will need to get more for next year 🙂

How are you decorating for Christmas this year? If baby bee’s arrival wasn’t right around the corner, we’d probably be doing a little bit more. But I found that I also am enjoying keeping the Christmas decor a little light this year.

  1. I often do my mantel with bottlebrush trees. Yours is especially cute and I love the mantel itself with the shelf at the top. It looks great with your pretty tree beside it. All good wishes for your upcoming birth! It will be so nice to be home and have it all decorated!
