With football season upon us, what better recipe to do this week than one that is great for tailgating. More importantly, it will be a hit with all of your friends and family!
If you’re like me, you love to find new recipes that work and don’t take too much of your time. I found this Weight Watchers recipe about 2 years ago and it is my go-to for tailgating, simple get togethers, or even for our home on the weekends.
Oh and I almost forgot…this recipe is healthy! We all know that when we go to tailgate or to a party, there are rarely healthy options to go for, but here is one that is quick and easy.
Ingredients
- 15 oz Black Beans, canned, rinsed, and drained
- 1 cup Cilantro, raw, fresh
- 1/2 cup Salsa, fat free (I prefer to use fresh salsa)
- 1/2 cup Yogurt, fat free, plain
- 1 tsp Cumin, ground
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions
Put all ingredients in a food processor or blender.
Blend until desired consistency - either chunky or smooth.
Spoon dip into a serving bowl and garnish with cilantro.
If you want to make it spicy you can add jalapenos or hot sauce.
1 Points Plus
I love to use Fage as a substitute for sour cream.
I tend to add a little more cilantro than what is called for.
This part only takes about a minute or so.
When all is said and done, you can serve the dip with vegetables, tortilla chips, pita chips, etc. This really is one of the fastest and simplest recipes I have ever made and it is simply delicious!
What foods do you like to prepare for tailgating?!
Yummy. Can’t wait to try it out.
