All in the Family
Now is the perfect time to look through old family photos. Maybe someone in the house has never seen a photograph of grandpa as a little boy. Kids get a kick hearing all about what you did as a child too. Maybe display a few of them in the house and rotate them out with different photos.
You can easily create a frame or make a photo holder.
Genealogy is also a great topic. Discuss what countries family members originated from. You could look at a globe or map of the countries and cities and add pins or sticky notes.
Handwriting is a lost art. Why not write a heartfelt letter to a family member or friend. You may also want to write letter to a local nursing home – they currently cannot have visitors.

Everything’s coming up roses! Spring has sprung in our area. Leaves are starting to bud and flowers are starting to emerge on plants and trees. Cut a few sprigs and bring them inside the house. Display them where they can be seen to keep your mood upbeat. Peonies, lavender, forsythia, red buds and more are available. What’s in your area?

Wonderful and timely ideas, Vicki. Thank you
Useful AND fun ideas indeed! Lots of time to look for mementos and tell stories to our kids. That should serve as a nice break from all the screen time, activity plays, and online/practical learnings. Thanks for sharing these!
