Excited to share a little man update about our new addition to the family! We’re also looking a little bit at the year ahead.
If you follow us on Instagram, you might have seen that we welcomed a new addition into our family Thanksgiving week! Little man Everett joined our family on November 23rd, which is why I’ve been a little quiet on the blog for the past month. Mom, or “Kiki” as she will now be called in her new role of grandma, holds down the fort. Is anyone surprised that mom did not want to be called “grandma”?! I’ve been thoroughly enjoying baby snuggles, as well as navigating my new role into motherhood.
It’s honestly been a magical month and I feel so blessed to have welcomed this bundle of joy into the world. When I made our pregnancy announcement, I also discussed our infertility journey and how it had taken us some time and several IVF procedures to get pregnant. Everett truly is our little miracle.
In a year that has certainly been challenging (for myself included with working in the travel industry), I could not have asked for a greater gift in 2020. Christmas will definitely be much more special this year for us and we’re looking forward to spending time together, eating tons of baked goods, and enjoying the cold weather. We’re hoping for a white Christmas, which would be a Christmas miracle in and of itself, but it will be cold enough for it. Fingers crossed!
As mom and I look forward to the new year, we hope to bring you more projects, recipes, crafts and let’s be honest, we’ll also be sharing some kid/motherhood related topics too as my focus shifts slightly. It’s a shift in focus that I have been waiting for, for quite some time 🙂
We’ll also be sharing an end of the year post next week with our most popular posts from the year, as well as things we wish to accomplish for next year. So we won’t be completely quiet over here at 2 Bees, but we will be taking some time to enjoy spending the holiday with baby bee and his first Christmas. We know for most, this holiday will look different than year’s past, ourselves included. In the spirit of Christmas, we continue to look for the joy in the little things.
We hope y’all have a wonderful Christmas!
