Cozy soft does not even begin to describe this beautiful handmade chunky throw. It’s a definite winner because I love it – and I won it!
Hi friends! I just returned last night from Ireland and I can’t wait to share lots of photos and thoughts with you. Right now I think that jet lag is beginning to take ahold of brain function, so those posts will have to wait LOL. Also, my sincere apologies that most of my new blog material didn’t post while I was away. Hopefully I can address that issue over the weekend and determine what happened. Luckily for me while I was away, I won a little Instagram hashtag photo styling opportunity. The prize was a gorgeous handmade chunky throw! Wait until you see it.
Good things Come to those who wait
You don’t really realize how much mail you receive in two weeks time, until it is all delivered in one day. When our held mail arrived last night we had stacks of envelopes, magazines, catalogs (you can tell the holidays are coming) and several boxes. All of the mail is going to have to wait to be addressed until at least the weekend. The only box I was interested in opening was the one from the Etsy shop of Shamara’s Pretty Things, because I knew that my handmade chunky throw was inside.
There is definitely something about “brown paper packages tied up with string” and attention to detail. Shamara definitely knows how to take care of and ship her items. Plus, who wouldn’t be excited to see this cute note as soon as they opened the box?
Under that sweet card is Shamara’s business card which I feel is a delivered promise 🙂
Shamara gave me the option of yarn color, and I decided to keep it very neutral.
Hidden inside this carefully folded bundle are the cutest, fluffiest tassels I’ve ever seen.
Just look at the knotting technique and pattern here – I’m not even sure if that is the correct term.
The throw matches my painted wing chair perfectly.
Isn’t it gorgeous? Needless to say I have been snuggled up with this super soft beauty all day long!
