Our popular seasonal Room by Room Series is back! Today we will showcase our relaxed summer living room decor.

It is so much fun to change out our decor with the seasons. We don’t go super crazy or anything – with the exception of Christmas. Fresh, clean, new-pair-of-eyes. This is typically how we look at a space when we want to give it a little bit of a refresh. Here’s our relaxed summer living room decor.

Summer Living Room Style

You may have already seen the Casual Lake Summer Mantel Decor. The relaxed summer living room decor just followed suit. We loved the colors in the boat painting and the comfy feel of the drop cloth “vintage” pillow.

Just yesterday we shared how to create these pretty aqua Sea Glass Bottles. They are perfect on the coffee table as a reminder to us of the beach and fun-in-the-sun. To me it signals – slow down and take a breath. Work can wait…making memories can’t!

How to Make Sea Glass Bottles - like they washed up on the beach

Everything in the room was either already here or borrowed from another room.

These succulents are still going strong! I swear, they love to be ignored.

This pair of end tables were painted when we first moved into the house. The lamps were painted too 🙂

Living in a lake community, I thought it would be fun to use the vintage bait bucket as decor. Antique aqua and turquoise bottles are perfect summer colors.

Jenn gifted me this directional pillow a few years – needless to say, I love it!

Another drop cloth pillow with the phrase “cottage” – you can’t help but feel cozy and relaxed.

Although this wood buoy looks handmade, it is mass produced – but cute none the less. The beautiful glazed pottery tray was made for me by a sweet friend when we left North Carolina…I treasure it.

That’s all there is to my relaxed summer living room decor. Nothing fussy or fancy – but stylish and things that make us feel relaxed and cozy.
