Whenever we have a family gathering, there is usually at least one recipe or dish from my mother or one of my grandparents. My mother was an excellent cook and when I serve one of her dishes, we all feel like she is right there with us! This Southern Broccoli Salad is one of our family favorites. I honestly don’t know why it’s called “Southern” Broccoli Salad, but that’s just the way we always referred to it 🙂
This is the time of year that we start thinking about Easter, picnics, going to the lake and get-togethers…this is the perfect salad for all of this occasions!
You can easily double or triple the ingredients – and the best part is that you can also make it ahead of time. I actually think it tastes best when made at least 8 hours before of serving 🙂
We also love a pile of bacon 🙂
