My mom would whip up this chocolate sauce when I was a little girl. She would make it specifically for vanilla ice cream and we considered it such a treat. Envision the best hot fudge sundae that you ever had – and this sauce is better than that! We felt so special when she would make it for us.
Here’s what you need:
I started with 4 ounces of dark bittersweet chocolate…
Create a stove top double broiler. Use a medium sized pan filled with 3-4 inches of water and set on medium heat. I added a Pyrex bowl to the top and placed the chocolate pieces inside. Make sure that the chocolate doesn’t get too hot too quickly or it will seize up…and you can kiss this decadent sauce goodbye 🙂
