Simple Wicker Cloche Centerpiece for your summer table.

Recently, I went on a thrifting and antiquing adventure with my friend Terri. We love exploring all of the small towns near our own small town. I was so happy to find a few treasures for my home. When I spotted a small tray, I immediately knew that I could create a simple wicker cloche centerpiece.

What is a cloche?

First things first: what is a cloche? A cloche is a small translucent cover for protecting or forcing outdoor plants. Think of it as a miniature hothouse. The French translation for cloche is, bell. I have several cloches in various sizes that I use in my home decor. You can see how I use them by taking a look at this post 12 Ideas for Decorating with a Cloche

The idea for my centerpiece started when I spotted this wicker tray, hanging on the wall of a super cute shop. Priced at just $3, I couldn’t pass it up.

As soon as I arrived home. I started playing with a design.

I ended up using most of the same elements that I already had on the table.

Adding a vintage French book with a pretty blue hue, was the starting point.

An antique blue and white creamer filled with moss and bulbs is placed on top of the book.

The concrete bird is perched perfectly inside the creamer.

A painted wood bead and jute garland looks perfect nestled next to the cloche.

It’s amazing how different the table looks with just a new tray and the cloche. My $3 investment was well worth it!
