Welcome to Week 3 of our Bloggers Fall Tour! We truly hope that you have enjoyed following along and have gained some inspiration for your own homes. Remember, Week 1 was Fall Tablescapes and you can see ours HERE. Week 2 was Fall Recipes and you can find our recipe HERE.
Lets get going with this weeks theme – Mantels!!! Now, we know some of you don’t have mantels, but you can definitely use these same ideas on a shelf, ledge or tabletop. Yesterday, Angie with The Altered Past shared her creative mantel decor using an old door with a mantel/shelf attached. Click HERE to see her creation!
We love all things vintage and rustic and we really wanted to add a lot of these elements into our decor. Even Honey Bee got involved and gave us a hand š Here’s a full view of what we created:
The vintage birdcage has been a part of my home decor for a couple of decades now. I move it around frequently and I thought it would be the perfect centerpiece to build off of.
I like the rustic details of the galvanized metal planters. The vintage trophies and loving cups are typically always on the mantel except for Christmastime. I’ve filled them with all types of decorative items – sticks, shells, moss. They are a great vessel to build off of and in this case we used flowers from our garden.
We stacked the galvanized tins on top of cut tree stumps for added height. The antique spool is from an old Georgia mill. It too was great for added extra height Ā and dimension to the mantel.
Love this vintage – repro box from H&M…
We just couldn’t resist to add this “Fall Y’all” banner. We really love this season and feel so fortunate that we live in an area with four seasons š
We couldn’t forget to add a touch of decor to the fireplace area. We have loads of vintage suitcases and though that this brown alligator bag would be perfectly showcased here. The wicker wine case is part of another collection.
And, there you have it! We hope you enjoyed our part of this Bloggers Fall Tour. Don’t forget to check-in tomorrow over at The Crowned Goat to see the fabulous mantel decor of CoCo!

Happy Fall Y’all!!
This looks ah-mazing! You guys are so creative! Im currently preparing my Christmas list which I’m hoping includes the suitcase, ladder, demi john, trophy cups, and herbs box just to name a few. Southern vintage style at its finest. Great job ladies!
Thank you CoCo…so glad that you like our “stuff”. I am packing up your items now, but you must pick-up in person š
This is one gorgeous mantle ladies!! That vintage birdcage is truly unique. Love the silver cups, the natural elements, the banner ~ oh heck, just love it all! So nicely done š Bwg ~~~
Why Thank you BobbI…We tend to decorate with a “more is better” attitude and were happy with the end result. I just love looking up and seeing my collections on the mantel!
So lovely! I loved that you incorporated an item you’ve had for years (the birdcage). And can we talk about that trophy????? In all my jaunts, I’ve never come across one that I could AFFFORD!!! LOve them. Mantles or on everyone’s mind today.
Lovely post!

Hey Donna!! You’re right…collections are getting harder and harder to build. We feel prices have skyrocketed over the past couple of years. I am fortunate that I already have a couple of collections…but I would really like to add to them. Trophies and ironstone are very hard to come by at a reasonable price these days. Happy hunting…let us know what you find!
AWESOME! You know how long I have been looking for a cool old trophy? Forever. I love your mantel, so beautiful.
We appreciate you Debbie! We just love old trophies and use them all over the house š Thanks for stopping by!
Vicki and Jennifer, I love your mantel! it looks fabulous. I love the trophy, the ladders, the suitcase and those fabulous gourds!! Beautiful, Lisa
Lisa! You are always so sweet and encouraging! Thanks so much š
I am loving those antique trophies – they’re so great! And that banner made me laugh out loud – so adorable;)
Thanks Jen! We love Fall here in the South š
I saw this post in your “Related Posts” and I had to pop over because I have almost that exact same birdhouse that I bought secondhand earlier this summer, except it’s not painted. I almost didn’t buy it because it was pretty expensive at the resale shop but I am so glad I did. It’s one of my favorite accessories now. You can see it here if you’d like š http://girlinthegarage.net/2016/07/cherry-blossom-dresser-makeover-themed-furniture-day
