Earlier this week IĀ showed you our dining room furniture makeover and I was so excited with how it looked, that I decided I needed to go ahead and decorate it for Christmas. We aren’t hosting Thanksgiving this year, so I thought, “Why not?”

I don’t know about y’all, but when I’m decorating my home I typically just need one idea to get my vision going. In this case, it was the chalkboard gift tags I showed you last week from Target. I got, what I think, was a great idea for a unique and easy place card. Aren’t these adorable?

Because of how the place cards looked, I wanted my Christmas tablescape to be rustic and simple. Ā I went to the fabric store and got this awesome gray plaid, which was 50% off (love it when that happens), and I used it as my tablecloth. This is a great tip when you don’t want to spend a fortune on finding the perfect tablecloth or honestly don’t want to take the time to sew one together.

Remember these gold chargers I showed you a few weeks ago from my Dollar Store finds?

These paper tags I also got from Target for only $1 were the perfect solution for a festive napkin ring…

I got these Christmas trees with a burlap base last year on clearance at Michael’s.

Rustic Christmas Tablescape

I really love how these easy place cards and Christmas tablescape turned out.Ā  It’s honestly probably the favoriteĀ tablescape I’ve done so far. I think it nails the rustic and simple look I was trying to achieve and definitely adds some Christmas cheer!Ā  Are you getting your ideas together for your Christmas tablescape?
