Okay…y’all may not want to blink because you’ll miss this recipe! You know we like things to be simple, quick and easy and I’m here to tell you…this appetizer is all three!
This is a perfect nibble for a cocktail party or when you have guests over and you want to serve something a little different and fun. I came up with this recipe by accident. Honey Bee and I attended an event and we were served delicious cocktails. The glasses were rimmed with a sweet sugar concoction. I wanted to recreate this cocktail at my home. When I ventured out to the store, they were sold out of the sugar rimmer that I was looking for. To my surprise and dare I say delight, I found this Bloody Mary Rimmer.
We love Bloody Mary’s and I started thinking about what I could use this rimmer for – and it hit me. I could try making an appetizer using Summer’s tomato bounty. So…Bloody Mary Tomato Appetizer’s were born 🙂 All you need are three ingredients:
- Vodka – I used Grey Goose
- Grape tomatoes
- Stirring’s Bloody Mary Rimmer
The rimmer is a concoction of salt, celery and spices that actually mimic the cocktail. You don’t have to measure anything!
Pierce the stem end of each tomato – it’s up to you how many you want to make.
Soak the tomatoes in vodka. I like to let them soak for at least a couple of hours.
Pour the rimmer seasoning into a bowl…
…and dip the vodka soaked tomatoes into the dry mixture. That’s it!! They are fresh and delicious!
This is a perfect nibble on a hot day. I hope you like them as much as I do! Cheers y’all!
